Seasonal Youth Staff Uniform Requirements - 2010
Uniform Requirements– Males & Females
Please note that all Seasonal Youth Staff (YCNX) are issued a daily uniform upon joining the vessel. This uniform will be worn during work hours in the youth center. Uniforms must be returned at the end of the contract.
The daily uniform, as issued by the Company, consists of:

Staff Polo Shirt

Navy Pants

Navy Short

Formal navy suit – varies by vessel; may be required in the evenings

In addition to the company issued uniform, YCNX must supply the below items for the daily uniform:

Tennis / Running Shoes – White

White Socks – to be worn with white tennis shoes

Dress Shoes – required for formal and smart casual evenings; may be worn with Company issued formal navy suit uniform

§ Females – black or navy dress shoes, closed toe required; may be heels, pumps, or flats

§ Males – black dress shoes

Recommended Items
In addition to the required items above, it is strongly recommended that staff provide the following clothing items:

Black or Navy shorts – you may wear the company provided shorts OR you may provide your own. If you provide your own, they are subject to the approval of the supervisor.

Black or Navy long pants – you may wear the company provided pants OR you may provide your own. If you provide your own, they are subject to the approval of the supervisor. The following guidelines apply:

o Dockers / Khaki style, plain front pants required.

o No yoga or stretch pants

o No cargo pants

o No capris

Theme Nights
Staff are expected to attend and participate in onboard Theme Nights when requested by their supervisors. The following is suggested (not required) attire:

Island Night –sarongs, board shorts, Hawaiian / Floral shirts, floral dresses

Country Western – jeans, country shirts, hats, boots

Pajama Party – flannel PJ’s, coordinating sets, bathrobe, slippers; no negligees please

Onboard Dress Code – Passenger Areas
While not required when on-duty in the youth centers, it is strongly recommended that Seasonal Youth Staff bring attire appropriate to wear in passenger areas according to the onboard dress code. Off duty staff utilizing passenger areas after 5pm will be required to be in appropriate attire. Please note that on some vessels, you may be required to wear the Company issued formal navy uniform on smart casual and formal evenings.

Smart Casual Attire – includes slacks, blouses, sweaters, dress shoes; attire that would be worn to a nice restaurant at home. No jeans.

Formal Attire – cocktail dress / evening gown for females; tuxedo or formal suit for males. Dresses must be of a conservative style and color.

    Remember that storage and closet space on the ship is limited, so plan ahead for your basic necessities and pack wisely-two suitcases and tote bag will usually suffice!
